With more than 4500ha, the High Fens region has plenty of trails and paths to ravish the heart of demanding trailers and walkers. However, the region is faced with a big problem: the astonishing number of tourists coming from all Belgium but also from France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Germany, who only wants the Signal of Botrange and the Baraque Michel.
The result: a disproportionate affluence which disturbs the peace of the nature but also of the walkers who miss out numerous other discoveries in trails unfairly abandoned.
To invite visitors to go on other trails, we asked the compositor Olvo. Together, we went across all those unknown trails that are full of mystery. The compositor therefore captured different sounds that he then compiled to create innovative music, each song inspired from a trail that was shaped by stories and legends that only guides and elders knew of. This sound experience offers to curious people a dive into the unique mood of each trail, before discovering it with their own eyes.
